Hope your all ok and staying safe. 2020 has been bizarre to say the least.
We are open and operating as usual.
Throughout the pandemic we have been working hard to keep everything going. Keeping on top of urgent and essential maintenance.
Moving in Drs and nurses to be closer to the hospital.
Its been really hectic . Especially on the maintenance side as it has been really difficult sourcing materials for jobs. Especially in the middle of the pandemic
Keeping safe and alert – keeping our customers safe and updated on events as they happened.
We have been working closely with tenants who lost their employment or found themselves on furlough leave.
Its certainly been a challenge but not one that would beat us
As well as new challenges in business i have been school teacher , ive been on tik tok and ive drank numerous bottles of bourbon whiskey to prevent catching covid 19.
I have found time to adapt and change some processes . We were already geared up towards digital signing etc. Covid 19 has enabled us to change systems and learn new skills for the future. I also invested in a 360 camera and software which is proving itself to be a very good investment as it minimises the visitors to the properties and only brings serious people forward to the next stage.
The last 2 weeks have been so busy on both sides of the market. Room lets as well as single residential lets.
Here are a few updates :
Maintenance are operating as normal. Getting materials and supplies is getting easier but sometimes can be a task. Tenants have been advised of this and that waiting times may be longer. Also maintenance is still being prioritised with essential and urgent maintenance taken priority.
Our normal cleaning contractors are still safe guarding and not yet back to HMO cleans . They are only cleaning empty properties . After they have been empty 2 weeks.
We dropped off cleaning materials for tenants during the pandemic. This worked really well when everyone was in lock down. I think it gave them something to do. However in the recent weeks i have noticed the communal areas to drop below standard. We organised for a temporary team of cleaners to help bring the communal areas back to clean standards.
Waste Management :
All tenants have been emailed regarding keeping on top of their waste during this. Obviously spending more time at home and stock piling food will create more waste and in time could create problems with pests. We have reminded all tenants of their tenancy agreement and living in a tenant like manner.
Property Visits :
In the coming weeks we will be organising property visits on all properties. We have a plan in place to carry these out remotely on residential and rooms. The communal areas will be going back to weekly inspections of safety, cleaning and waste management.
